Pretty simple. This is an amendment to my original complaint. ORG because they saw my review and they wanted to reach out to me to determine what happened. I called their customer service number and spoke to Bree. She was very kind and helpful. I tried this morning and it worked fine. She also indicated that she was easily able to find the link for "contact us" when she examined the website.
I checked again and did not have the same luck. I saw the "feedback" link for emailing feedback or cancelling subscriptions but there were no telephone numbers to be found.
Regardless, they are issuing me a full refund since I cancelled immediately after joining. My cancellation was due to the fact that there were not any listings in the areas I was looking to live in. If you join this site, look for the areas that you want to live in.
If they have good listings larger cities , take advantage of what this site offers. If they do not have anything available, cancel immediately and save your cancellation email. I officially retract my earlier complaint. I joined and cancelled within days of joining and they still charged my card the recurring fees. I went back to the website to click on the "contact us" link only to discover that this link does not exist on their site. I did not discover this issue until a Saturday afternoon and when I called my bank, they refunded the charges but said that I needed to close my current debit card and get a new one.
I now must wait 5 - 7 business days before I get my new card. I have been connected with this company for a month, they said in order to find a house I had to be connected to Lexington law for credit repair in which this company took money from my account.
I have yet to have any services provided and have tried to contact this rent to own company in which have had no success. I now believe that this is a scam. Waking me up at 6 am until 11pm. Absolutely do not contact them whatsoever. I was about to purchase a single family home from this website but after i heard about parrot scam website I look up the website reviews and there are a lot of bad reviews luckily i didn't give any information.
These types of site are sometimes referred to as "boiler room operations". Fancy looking website financed by the monies they pimp out of the consumers. Like the Wizard of Oz it's all smoke and mirrors and very little substance. There are dozens of other websites, including government consumer protection sites, that would have the same for free.
My advice; 1 Take due diligence before investing any money in this website. I sign up for rent to own. The listings I got were for North Carolina. I live in South Carolina and I could not change the city so 2 days later I canceled the account. Then 3 weeks later they charged my account. I called after four attempts to reach them someone finally answered the phone. They are only going to give me 25 dollars back in four days.
If I want the full amount then my request for my money it will be sent to legal. So basically I wasted my money and time on a site that will take your money and not have the correct information nor access to what you're looking for.
Rent to own is a scam! So who ever gets it towards your down payment I rebuke you. All in all this was a bad experience. I've had a few inquiries about my home listed on this site! Idk how to report these people! They have my homes listed as rentals. I had a I was in search of legitimate real estate at discounted prices. This website does not disclose complete information about it's listings until you sign up for a membership. The membership is around I became weary and stumbled across many bad reviews.
I cancelled my credit card immediately. The reviews state that even when you cancel your membership, they will continue to charge your bank account. To be on the safe side, I recommend that anyone who has provided their information reports their card as stolen immediately, in order to prevent these people from stealing your hard earned money.
Shame on these people and I hope the site is shut down immediately. They would not give me a refund. I told them I was not interested in their services whatever those may really be 1. Harassment 2. Deceitful practice 3. Being very rude 4. Offer you absolutely 0 help 5. The list is endless! I blocked her so many times I've lost count. She continues to call from different numbers. She must have found a different job as now I'm receiving calls from a male.
Same circumstances. No matter who you are I think rent is a waste. So I used these guys and it worked. I mean, it worked for me because I found a place to live in and now I am going to end up owning the house when I am done. I did not find the house before, I only found it through them, so that is why I think it worked so well.
Tip for consumers: Don't keep renting, that is not for you or anyone. I just told her while she was on the phone it was a scam. She still paid them. She just called like three people. There were wrong numbers and homes unavailable. When she actually talked to someone the home was not rent to own. LOL wives listen to thy husband as he's always right!
This service takes a little work on the customer side. So don't sign up unless you want to find a home. This will help you a lot but it doesn't do all of the work for you. Now every number I try to call back has been disconnected. I was only looking for listings. No such thing. I even asked " this sounds like a scam? Office incase they try to steal my identity. My credit was fine. I only wanted listings I have MS and get confused easily and they had me in circles Im not letting this go As a person who is desperate to find a home due to my husband being SICK.
I am so happy while I was on the phone with these guys I did not go any further. Te rep was trying to rush me through to get me to sign up. I went and checked reviews and was glad I did. They specialize in stealing photos of homes and reposting as their own This is waste of time, all the info on this site you can view it from Zillow, craigslist and others, the main purpose for this is to sell Credit repair.
That they are Rent to Own. They are NOT! Stop paying this company. And can also assist you with finding out for sure what you can qualify for. I received a phone call today about my home that was listed on this site. My home isn't listed! I have it listed with a realtor, and after being hung up on numerous times this is all I can do.
This website is a scam! I find a pace to live using these guys. I got no problem, they worked for me real. Tok abvout 2 weeks for me.
No matter what zip code you enter for your search, you keep getting the same list of properties over and over. I checked the website once daily, every day, for 7 days, and just kept getting the same properties over and over.
I never was able to search for a home in my desired zip code. I've learned from other scams not to use ur debt card. Always Use a gift card!
Once I was able to set up my account I was in this never ending loop with a free credit report. Can't see the list still. Don't fall for this. I signed up with My rent to own and cancelled in the same day! I went through all the steps that was required only to get a listing of supposedly homes in my area which were 50 miles away from where I had asked , only to turn around and contact the realtors for them to tell me they have never heard of this company or from other ones they had no homes available.
The info was phony. Really don't even understand how Lexington Law partners with them now I am questioning my signing up with Lexington Law. You are not out to help anyone only to rip people off! You have the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life! They do not try to resolve a problem. They are rude, uncaring disgusting people!
Stay away from them! They should be shut down. All they are at this point are legal thieves! Soo many scams out tere. Dont waste your money or time on these people. When you call to cancel they claim they never heard from you and when you do get to speak to someone they claim its too late and cant refund your money.
